When I first walked into the speakers club, I had no idea what to expect. Public speaking is something that comes and all shapes and sizes, and I’d never considered joining an organisation before. But after hearing a friend evangelically talk about the speakers club, I wanted to know more.

I was intrigued.

If you want to learn to speak in public fluently and without nervousness, the Ambassadors Speakers Club is holding an Open Evening on 2 August at 6:45. All visitors will be warmly welcome to enjoy a taste of the friendly and supportive environment that club members experience.

In 1984 a New York Times study on social anxiety asked people what they most feared. The top two fears were walking into a room full of strangers and speaking in public. Death came third. Read more »
